About
I’d like to think of myself as an artist, then again I don’t think you get to decide that yourself. So I’d like to be considered an artist… better yet. A creative.
Creative For Commerce.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, 1963. I was a lucky kid. From the age of nine I knew I was going to be involved in art in one way or another. Since then I’ve used every spare waking moment to explore, hone and shape my skills. In my early art education I definitely struggled. During the late 1960’s, and early 1970’s taking an art class, had a lot to do with painting, drawing and the history of art, neither of which I was a natural. I was able to do good work, it just took me forever. It wasn’t until after I’d finished all my art education that I realized I wasn’t artistic, well… naturally anyway. I was a CREATIVE. From then on I flourished.
I still enjoy the challenge, and in the past few years as technology has played the stick and carrot with my career, I’ve learned the most important lesson.
Adapt or die.
So now I find myself learning some pretty heavy programming languages.
